The Diocese of Makamba mourns

Four people were hit by a lightening in the Parochial Anglican Church of Gatwe on Saturday 14th, at Forty people were gathered in the Church for prayers and songs rehearsal when this sad event happened. The Bishop of Makamba visited the parish for a funeral service the following day and preached from 2 Kings when Elijah was taken to heaven in chariot of fire. He reminded the mourning people that Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and endured the suffering from noontime and is sharing with them their sufferings and sorrows. Except Mrs Devote who was married, the remaining three (Alexis, Eric and Leah) were still single. May they rest in eternal peace with the Lord.
